| Reading is a very important activity for each of us.It not only serves as a bridge between us and the outside world,but it also helps us to obtain all sorts of information and indispensable knowledge.The “Story of Time” activity is a storytelling activity for children,introducing excellent reading materials to children,promoting children's reading activities,and developing and improving their reading interests.This article investigates the current situation of "story time" activities in public libraries in China.The research methods used are literature analysis,website surveys,and interviews.The stories are carried out through the 61 public libraries and children's halls selected for the National Reading Base."Time" activities and story-telling activities were investigated and analyzed,and 6 libraries were selected to conduct interviews on the issues related to the "Story Time" activities.The selected library directors and librarians were asked about the current library.Interviews were conducted on the activities carried out to understand the patterns of implementation of the activities and the problems they existed,and the different forms of help they wished.According to the results of the investigation and analysis,public libraries in our country currently have problems in the “story time” activities and the activities of the story society,such as the unpredictable activities,unbalanced development of activities,and the lack of cooperation between libraries and other institutions,and make suggestions.It is hoped that the role of the China Library Association and local local societies will be fully utilized.Awards or related training will be set up to promote the development of the library's "story time" activities;the cooperation between libraries and other institutions will be strengthened;and publicity and promotion of the activities will be strengthened. |
