Transmedia Storytelling Study Of "Unhuman" From The Perspective Of "Story World"

In the early 21 st century,Henry Jenkins first proposed the theory of Transmedia storytelling,and Mary-Raul Ryan called for the path of Transmedia storytelling research to be shifted from "Story telling" to "Story World".With the development of new media technology,the construction theory of "Transmedia storytelling--Story World" has received much attention in the field of cultural industry and ushered in a new development opportunity.Compared with the mature understanding of trans-media narrative and how to construct the Story world in Europe and the United States,the reference of Chinese cultural industry is still in development.As an excellent representative of Chinese comics in recent years,"Unhuman" presents the characters of traditional Chinese ancient mythic stories in the form of group portraits through multiple media such as paper comics and animation videos.Based on summarizing the research status of transmedia narrative theory and Story World theory,national diffusion transmedia narrative and construction of story world,this paper analyzes the media basis of transmedia narrative of the series texts of "Unhuman",namely the presentation of the text and the communication on various platforms.The author’s narrative,the media operator’s narrative and the fan’s narrative form the "trinity" narrative characteristics respectively,which realizes the high participation in the topic discussion and the high enthusiasm in creating the story.After comparing the texts of the series of "Unhuman",it is believed that the series of "Unhuman" takes "rich and interesting daily life" as the core concept,integrates many narrative elements,extends the core story,and initially creates the story world and constructs the narrative genealogy based on three basic elements of the Story World,namely,physical laws,social rules and social values,and spiritual events.It provides practical possibility for the construction of community imagination.As a representative of the new generation of mythic text-adapted animation,the texts of "Unhuman" series provide references for the future development of China’s marvel industry in terms of constructing the story world driven by participatory culture,accelerating the development process of cross-media communication to Transmedia storytelling,and exploring the feasibility of Transmedia storytelling of Chinese mythic text.
