As one of the spiritual and cultural products,the books not only have the property of the goods,but also have the attributes of the spiritual culture.It is not only the effective bearing of cultural communication,but also the need of market communication to get more attention.With the development of the times,publishing industry has entered the turning point of transformation.Publishing companies have gradually focused on the number of industrial structures and sizes.However,due to the excessive attention to economic benefits,many publishing companies have a clear control of the quality of books,which deviate from the characteristics and nature of the publishing,and then damage the social benefits.Because of the complexity of the market environment,the publishing house needs to realize the effective balance between economic and social benefits,so as to complete the development requirements of "social benefit and social benefit as the first,social and economic benefits" put forward by the publishing enterprise in the new era.Based on the analysis of the domestic policy background and the status quo of publishing companies' social benefits,the study grasps the policy orientation and industry needs,and applies the basic theories and methods of management science,sociology,unified policy science,and cultural economics to our country.The social benefits of listed publishing companies have been evaluated and researched,and a quantifiable and easily verifiable social performance assessment index system including market influence,content quality,audience response,social contribution,and international communication has been established.Using the method of evaluation of the scientific system,we use the entropy weight fuzzy matter-element model to empirically analyze the social benefits of the ten listed book publishing companies in China.The results of the study indicate that:(1)Between 2014 and 2016,unevenly developed and severely polarized,with three levels of echelon levels appearing among enterprises;(2)Calculating each index through the entropy method The results of weights show that overseas monetary investment income,public welfare donations,government funding support,number of award-winning books,and book circulation are the main factors affecting social benefits;(3)Discovered by comparing the social and economic benefits of publishing companies from 2014 to 2016 The social and economic benefits of publishing companies have maintained good consistency.The relationship between them is complementary.In response to the research results,from the aspects of improving the original production capacity of books,enhancing brand influence,strengthening the cultivation of publishing talents,improving the social benefit assessment mechanism,and continuing to implement the “going out” strategy,we put forward suggestions for improving the social benefits of publishing companies.To fulfill the social responsibility and cultural mission of book publishing companies.
