Research On He Lucheng's Archives Thought

He Lucheng is one of the important enlighteners of Archival Science in China,and his work Archives Management and Arrangement is known as one of the thirteen classics of Archival Science in modern China.2018 coincides with the 80th anniversary of the publication of Mr.Ho Lucheng's Archives Management and Arrangement.This paper hopes to take this opportunity to study his archival thought and academic classics and commemorate the 80th anniversary of the publication of Archives Management and Arrangement.As an important symbol of the birth of Archival Science in modern China,He Lucheng's archival thought not only exerted a far-reaching influence on Chinese Archival Science in its founding period,but also played an important guiding role in the construction and development of contemporary archival undertakings in China.At present,the domestic scholars'research on He Lucheng and his archival thought mainly focuses on the content,characteristics,theoretical contributions and practical significance of his works,or only on some of his academic theories,such as archival administrative thought,archival management thought,etc,which are both for He Lucheng and his archival science.The theoretical research and attention are not enough,and there is a lack of comprehensive,in-depth and systematic study.Therefore,this paper takes He Lucheng's archival thought as the research object to conduct a more in-depth,systematic and comprehensive study of his archival thought.This topic will be discussed from the following five aspects:The first part is the introduction,which explains the background,purpose and research significance of this topic,combs and summarizes the domestic research status of this topic,and briefly describes the research content,research ideas and methods of this topic,as well as the characteristics of this topic.The second part is the background of He Lucheng's life and his archival thoughts.This part introduces He Lucheng's life experience and his archival work experience,and elaborates the historical background of his archival thought from four aspects.This part is the subjective conditions and historical background of the emergence of He Lucheng's archival thought.The third part is the main contents and characteristics of He Lucheng's archival thoughts.Through in-depth analysis of the archival thought of He Lucheng,the author believes that the main contents of his archival thought involve seven aspects:first,clearly distinguish the relationship between archives and documents,systematically expound the basic concepts and functions of archives;second,comparatively study several different systems of archival management modes and advocate centralized archives management.Thirdly,it advocates the establishment of an independent archives organization system and pioneering opinions on the selection,training and job allocation of archives managers in organs;fourthly,it proposes that documents and archives are only different processes of the same thing,and it advocates the implementation of the chain law of documents and archives.Fifthly,it emphasizes the importance of archives collection,filing and transferring,especially the classification of archives.Sixthly,it analyses the methods,instruments and protection of archives,and puts forward the significance of archives collection.Seventhly,it summarizes the methods of archives management research.In addition,the article explores the main characteristics of He Lucheng's archival thoughts,namely,administrative tendency,emphasis on the use of archives,extensive transplantation and attach importance to practice.The fourth part is the evaluation of He Lucheng's archival thoughts.This paper first summarizes the historical position of He Lucheng's archival thought,then makes a concrete analysis and Research on the limitations of his archival thought,and sums up the reasons for the limitations of his archival thought from both subjective and objective aspects.The fifth part is the influence of He Lucheng's archival thoughts.Firstly,the paper puts forward the influence of He Lucheng's archival thought on Chinese Archival Science in the founding period,including:firstly,the publication of Archives Management and Arrangement is an important symbol of the formation of modern Chinese archival science;secondly,He Lucheng's archival thought has played an important role in constructing the basic framework of archival management in China;thirdly,the archival thought of He Lucheng has obvious administrative color,which directly affects the theoretical research and practice of archival administration;fourthly,he Lucheng's archival thought has been transplanted and borrowed from foreign archival theory,making the research of Archival Science in modern China deeply influenced by European and American archival thoughts.Fifth,He Lucheng's archival thought has explored many effective methods of archival research.Sixth,He Lucheng's Archives Thought,especially his emphasis on classification theory,plays an important role in modern archives management in China.Then,the article summarizes the influence of He Lucheng's archival thoughts on the development of contemporary Archival Science in China:firstly,the Archival Studies in China at present still have obvious political characteristics;secondly,He Lucheng's thought of emphasizing the use of archives in his archival thought has a direct impact on the study of the theory of the use of archives in China;thirdly,He Lucheng's archival thought emphasizes the spiritual quality of actual participation and guidance of practice,which has important enlightenment for contemporary archival theory research in China;fourthly,the active introduction and transplantation of He Lucheng's archival thought to foreign related theories and ideas still has important guiding significance for contemporary archival research in China;fifthly,He Lucheng's Archives Thought provides a scientific method.
