Investigation And Research On The Training Of Librains Of University Libraries In Suzhou

University libraries are the most important auxiliary institutions for teaching and scientific research in Colleges and universities.In order to improve the quality of assistant teaching and scientific research in libraries,in recent years,the construction of university libraries has invested a lot of resources,mainly in the expansion of the scale of University Libraries and the purchase of modern equipment.The construction of University Libraries in Suzhou area of Jiangsu Province has always been paid more attention to.Therefore,the reading environment and service quality of University Libraries in Suzhou area are constantly improving,but there are still obvious problems in the process of development.Especially,the professional level of Librarians in university libraries is insufficient,mainly because of the lack of targeted training.Based on the investigation of the training of University Librarians in Suzhou area,this paper aims to find out and analyze the problems existing in the training process of University Librarians in Suzhou area,and put forward pertinent suggestions for the problems found,as well as the future construction of University Libraries in similar economically developed areas(such as Shenzhen and Ningbo)where the number of universities is scarce.The development provides reference opinionsThe author investigates and analyses the current situation of the training of Librarians in University Libraries in Suzhou by means of literature research,on-the-spot investigation,telephone interview,case analysis and questionnaire survey.This paper investigates the information release,forms and contents of librarians'training,librarians' situation and other elements of training on the webpage of University Libraries in Suzhou.The survey results show that there are some problems in the development of librarian training in University Libraries in Suzhou,such as insufficient attention paid to the development of Librarian training;shortage of special training funds;single training environment;neglect of foreign language training;lack of targeted training for compound librarians;lack of professional training for subject librarians;lack of training supervision mechanism.Some suggestions are put forward,such as attaching great importance to the training of librarians,broadening the sources of special funds,providing diversified training environment,offering corresponding foreign language courses,strengthening the training of compound librarians,improving the professional quality of subject librarians,enhancing supervision and improving supervision mechanism.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the research purpose and significance of the whole paper,and analyses the current situation of librarians'training,construction and service in University Libraries at home and abroad,as well as the innovation of this paper.The second part is the investigation and statistics of the current situation of the training of University Librarians in Suzhou.The third part is based on three classical cases of librarian training in Shanghai Jiaotong University Library,Wuhan University Library and Hangzhou Normal University Library.The fourth part is based on the analysis of the problems existing in the training of Librarians of University Libraries in Suzhou.The fifth part is to put forward pertinent suggestions for the problems existing in the training of Librarians of University Libraries in Suzhou.The sixth part is the summary and prospect..
