In the early years of the People's Republic of China(1949-1966),museums,libraries and other cultural institutions not only undertook the task of publicizing the national image,but also became the window for the public to understand national policies.The publicity of museums and exhibitions determined their role as thought disseminators in the early stage of the People's Republic of China.The state tried to publicize new ideologies through museums and exhibitions.1949 was an important moment of complete liberation for women after the new culture movement.The new regime granted women equal rights to men,and correspondingly urged women to fulfill some obligations beyond their own ability.In this period,female images were frequently presented in films,novels,operas and museum exhibitions,which was a reflection of female groups in the real society.Under the constraint of The Times,the meaning of female images kept changing without deviating from the main line.The combination of female images with museums and exhibitions provides a new perspective for the study of the history of museums in the People's Republic of China.Based on the longitudinal and transverse study,macroscopic research and microscopic research of combining the research train of thought,using the historical literature research,case studies,interdisciplinary research methods,such as the 1949 to 1966 years of history,women's groups,analyzes the development situation of museum,museum of comparative exhibition presents all kinds of other female image in the People's Republic of China in the early period of the similarities and differences.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the text is divided into three chapters.The introduction part defines the relevant concepts in the paper,and describes the research status,research purpose and significance,research methods and other contents at home and abroad.The first part reviews the historical background of the presentation of female images from a macro perspective,including the political,economic,cultural and diplomatic situation from 1949 to 1966.It combs the policies related to women,focuses on the relevant events in the cultural field,and explores the importance of presenting female images to museums from this perspective.The second part summarizes the historical context of the development of the museum industry from 1949 to 1966,and discusses the display mode of the female culture in the context of the museum from the aspects of the national requirements for the museum industry and the policies implemented,the nature of the museum,and the forms of museum exhibitions.The third part focuses on the female images presented in the museum exhibitions from 1949 to 1966.First of all,it briefly summarizes the change process of Chinese female images before 1949 and after 1966,and then compares the female images presented by other media in the field of culture,thus leading to the female images presented by the museum exhibition from 1949 to 1966.According to the ancient(myth)female images,the oppressed female images since modern times,the images of heroines and female military families,and the female images presented in "contemporary"(1949-1966),this paper sorts out and summarizes the significance conveyed by the female images in the museum.
