"China Image" Study In The <Economist >

National image is an important part of soft power.It not only concerns the interests and honor of a country,but also a good national image is an important resource and intangible asset of a country,which can create a good external environment for the development of a country.Since the beginning of the 21 st century,China's comprehensive national strength has been growing day by day and it has become more and more influential in the international community.China has become an indispensable part of mainstream media coverage in all countries.What is seriously unequal to China's international status is that China's ability of external communication has been at a disadvantage for a long time,which makes China's national image have to be "constructed".Therefore,studying how western news media report China is of great significance for China to accurately position its international image,improve its image,and enhance China's international status and influence.This paper selected the economist magazine since January 28,2012,since the opening of a "China" column to June 30,2018 reports of the column as the research sample sampling statistics,to structure weeks sampling report of "China" column in this period to carry on the numerical analysis,and summarizes the magazine for seven years for China's report presents the features and position,to explore the construction of China's international image framework.In 2018 as the 40 th anniversary of China's reform and opening up,in this special time to research,the economist China column can help us to objective understanding of western China under the perspective of the change,get the experience and enlightenment,and to understand the change of China's international image and status has significant practical significance,as well as how our country should foreign media to construct the reasonable opinions of our country's image,and want to change our country how to improve its international image thinking,at the same time hope that this research can problems from the Angle of the research for the future to do some basic work.
