Magnetron is a more frequently used microwave energy generator commonly used in industrial,scientific and medical technology.Automatic measurement and control is one of the development trends of microwave equipment testing in the future.Considering that magnetrons need to detect a large number of detailed parameters and the actual demand of magnetrons is large,if manual detection is used,for large quantities of high-power magnetrons.In terms of testing,the inspectors are cumbersome and inefficient.At this time,the automatic measurement and control method can not only greatly shorten the detection time of high-power magnetrons,improve efficiency,but also enhance China's comprehensive strength in the field of microwave equipment testing,and enhance China's international competitiveness in microwave equipment manufacturing.Provide technical support for the advancement of China's cutting-edge science and technology.Based on the research history,development trend,working principle of magnetron and the development trend and advantages of automatic control system,this paper proposes a basis based on the actual requirements of magnetron inspection project,virtual instrument technology and magnetron measurement technology theory.LabVIEW's automatic control system for magnetrons.According to the test theory of magnetron characteristic parameters,compare the advantages and disadvantages of the magnetron characteristic parameter test scheme,design the detailed steps of the automatic measurement of the magnetron characteristic parameters,design the parameter control method based on the dichotomy and the flow control system based on ARM.The magnetron protection control system used in this paper is studied to protect all the hardware equipment used in the project and to ensure the accuracy of the data obtained.A software and hardware platform for the automatic measurement and control system of the magnetron was built.The power amplifier,signal generator,dual-channel power meter,spectrum analyzer and other instruments are used to build a hardware platform for the automatic measurement and control system of the magnetron.Based on LabVIEW software,the software algorithm and user interface of the measurement and control platform aredeveloped,and the communication and control programs of the power meter,spectrum analyzer,ARM and other devices are designed.The experiment of magnetron automatic measurement and control system is carried out according to the required parameters.On the magnetron automatic measurement and control platform,the output frequency bandwidth,output power and work efficiency,harmonic power characteristics of output RF and frequency-temperature characteristics of the magnetron with a central frequency of 1.497 GHz and an output power of 13.5 KW are tested.According to the data analysis of the final experimental results,the experimental platform can quickly detect the characteristic parameters of magnetron,and the design is reasonable,which meets the development requirements of the platform.It also shows that the characteristic parameters of the magnetron meet the design requirements and meet the experimental requirements of Jlab National Laboratory.
