With the acceleration of the process of urban-rural integration in China,rural areas are undergoing rapid changes in political,economic,cultural and other fields,and education is also changing in the process of urban-rural integration.Rural primary school libraries(rooms)are the most convenient platform for books,information and documents around teachers and students in rural areas.It is an important place to implement quality education and improve the quality of rural education.Whether the construction of rural primary school library is good or not directly affects the learning and growth of rural primary school students.The current situation of its construction is worthy of the attention of educational researchers.The investigation of the current situation of rural primary school libraries in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region can make correct judgments and decisions for promoting the balanced development of education and provide reference experience for the construction of rural primary school libraries in Western Ethnic Rural areasThis study mainly uses the methods of literature,questionnaire and interview etc.Based on the self-compiled questionnaire "Questionnaire on the Current Situation of Library(Room)Construction in Rural Primary Schools in Guangxi",this paper investigates the current situation of 88 rural primary schools in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from the aspects of school basic situation,basic conditions of school library,collection,librarians,utilization of library,funds,rules and regulations,etc.From the present situation of the construction of rural primary school libraries,according to a survey of guangxi countryside elementary school library construction situation in general in the new stage,under the compulsory education balanced development work,in the infrastructure construction had obvious progress,but still exist many problems,such as library collection area is small,modern equipment is not complete;The types of literature resources are not uniform,the teachers use less books,the literature is lack of collation;Fewer professional full-time library staff;The library function localization is single,the fund appropriation is not balanced,lacks conforms to this area actual rules and regulations and so on.The reasons restricting the construction of primary school libraries in rural areas of guangxi can be analyzed from three aspects.From the perspective of society,the rural areas lack of reading atmosphere,and the impact of modern media on paper reading;From the government level,the financial input is insufficient,the lack of policy and regulation guarantee mechanism;From the school level,the backward library management mode,the low quality of librarians and the lack of understanding of quality education all restrict the construction and development of school libraries.In view of the problems existing in the construction of primary school libraries in rural areas of Guangxi,the author puts forward that leaders should change their concepts and attach importance to library construction,increase government behavior,and ensure the continuous investment of library construction funds;accelerate the transformation of library buildings,improve the appearance of Library operation,and use the network to realize information management;count literature,improve quality,use methods,regularize books,and share literature resources;Full-time staff,reduce the burden of part-time staff,students participating in management;call on all donations,teachers and students to actively raise their own funds;take the library as the platform to carry out a variety of activities and other countermeasures and suggestions,and compare the national Ministry of education and other provinces in Western China on the construction standards of primary and secondary libraries,combined with the actual situation,trying to summarize the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for the construction of rural primary and secondary school libraries.Set standards to guide the construction and development of rural primary school libraries in our district.This paper investigates the current situation of the construction of rural primary school libraries in Guangxi,finds out the problems existing in the construction of rural primary school libraries,finds out the causes of the problems through in-depth analysis,and puts forward practical and targeted solutions.It provides some useful ideas for the development of rural primary school libraries in western China.
