It has been six years since We Chat public platform was launched under the name of “Official Platform” on August 23,2012.As of the end of 2017,We Chat public accounts had exceeded 10 million,including more than 3.5 million active accounts that have 797 million active fans per month,which has had a great impact on people's daily lives.In the second half of 2014,the author applied for the registration of We Chat public platform " Lanzhou University E Campus Communication " and has been operating it till now.As the operator of We Chat public account,the author has participated in the development process of We Chat public platform and continuously felt the impacts of the changes of We Chat public platform's own functions on the whole We Chat public account's ecology.Profoundly realizing the difficulties faced by personal We Chat public account operators,the another found there is a lack of research on the operation of personal We Chat public account.The author tries to restore the individual experience through the research method of ethnography,and takes the We Chat public account " Lanzhou University E Campus Communication " which the author applied for to establish as the research object.The author traces and shows the development of We Chat public account " Lanzhou University E Campus Communication " from a series of development process and related events —— the application of We Chat public account to the establishment of the operation and promotion,the profit to the public value of the construction and so on.This paper summarizes the experience of the author's operation of We Chat public account for 4 years,in the hope of providing valuable reference opinions for the operators of We Chat public account,exploring how operators can improve the influence of We Chat public platform,what problems should be avoided in the operation of We Chat public platform,and how to balance the relationship between operators and the image the public accounts shape,so as to help operators do a good job in their We Chat public platform and explore the formation of a benign network space.
