The functional design of robot cluster-control intelligent manufacturing system and its application involve in automatic control technology,communication technology,logic programming,human-machine interface(HMI),CNC machine operation,and industrial robot operation,etc.Currently,investigation on its new technology is one of the research hotspots in the intelligent manufacturing field.However,to implement the above functional design and relevant application design is involved in a great deal of professional knowledge and very complex knowledge fusion degree.In particular,there are lots of challenging problems,such as high difficulty in implementation,long development period,uncertain personnel division,low development efficiency &high development cost.Based on the background of intelligent manufacturing,this paper studies its practical application of robot group in the field of intelligent manufacturing.The specific work can be divided into the following five parts:(1)The core of the functional design of the robot group control intelligent manufacturing system,which uses mechanical work piece processing as an entry point.During normal system operation,all size data of the finished workpiece are uploaded to master control unit by use of the automatic measurement devices installed on the workpiece inspection station.After the calculation and comparison,the master control unit transmits the size tolerance of the unqualified workpiece to the numerical control system.This numerical control system accomplishes automatic compensation of the workpiece error,and then the robot resends the unqualified workpiece back to the CNC machine tool for further processing.Combined with tool management and machine loading and unloading unit;CNC machining cell;product conveying unit;storage unit and detection unit,the full closed-loop process of machining,inspection,automatic compensation and re-machining can be realized,further embodying intelligent manufacturing.At the same time,the robot jaws are equipped with sensors and vision to ensure that: once any mistakes in the process of grabbing the workpiece,the movements/actions can be automatically corrected,and then re-grabbing,which really reflect intelligent handling.(2)Implement bi-directional,serial and multiple nodes digital communication between the units of a system based on the bus control technology.Communication between master station and slave station of intelligent manufacturing system with group control of whole robot.(3)Design the control & action flow charts of the whole system,and solve the logical actions across every unit when the whole system is in daily operation based on logic programming.These include: use logic programming to solve the logical actions of storage unit,machine loading and unloading unit,intelligent CNC machining cell,product delivery unit,automatic detection unit,information management platform,and master control unit,etc.(4)Design an advanced information management system of the whole system,apply the OPC industrial software into interface specifications/standards,and then establishan information management system to achieve real-time monitor and dynamic management in the process of system operation.More effective maintenance and management of equipment,improve the efficiency of equipment use.(5)Establish a complete operation procedure &standardize the relevant processes.
