With the development of science and technology in recent years,the wireless communication system is increasingly important in different fields.As an important part of the wireless communication system,antenna can affect the performance of the whole communication system significantly.Fabry-Perot antenna can achieve high gain under simple structure and small size.Because Fabry-Perot antenna generally adapts a single antenna as the feed source,it can reduce the energy loss caused by the feed network and coupling effect.Therefore,the high gain Fabry-Perot antenna has attracted the attention of many researchers.Based on the analysis of the principle of Fabry-Perot antenna,this thesis mainly focuses on the beam steering Fabry-Perot antenna and how to realize dual frequency Fabry-Perot antenna with single-layer partial reflection surface(PRS).The major contributions of this thesis are listed as follows: 1.Fabry-Perot antenna based on phase gradient metasurface is designed.A beam deflection Fabry-Perot antenna is realized by changing the reflection phase of unit cells over the PRS.To keep a stable reflection phase difference between two adjacent unit cells and avoid the large reflection phase difference deteriorating the desired radiation characteristic,nine unit cells with various sizes are used to form the proposed PGPRS.The radiation pattern of the F-P antenna can be deflected to θ=52°.2.A two-dimensional beam deflection Fabry-Perot antenna is designed.To realize a two-dimensional tilted beam,the unit cells of PRS are arranged along the X direction and Y direction respectively.The results show a good performance,and the measured and simulated results have a good agreement.3.A beam tilted Fabry-Perot antenna is proposed.A combination of single-layer and double-layer unit cells structure is designed to achieve a large beam deflection angle.The simulated results show that the proposed antenna can achieve a deflection beam of 70°.4.A single-layer dual-band Fabry-Perot antenna is proposed by designing the reflection phase of PRS and placing the mushroom EBG structure on the ground.Simulation results show that the antenna can achieve high gain in two different bands.
