| Despite the widespread of enterprise social media in recent years,the impacts of these systems on employee performance are unclear,and there are still many controversies in the Chinese industry.This study builds a model of the relationship between Enterprise social media use and employee job performance.We divide Enterprise social media use into internal use of Enterprise social media and external use of Enterprise social media to study the impact of employee performance.At the same time,we divide employee performance into two aspects: employee task performance and employee innovation performance.In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted for knowledge-intensive companies,and valid questionnaires were collected from 150 companies,and analyzed using SPSS statistical software to test the theoretical model.The research results show that the internal use of Enterprise social network teams and the external use of Enterprise social network teams have significant positive impacts on employee task performance;the internal use of Enterprise social network teams has a significant positive impact on employee innovation performance;the internal innovation system environment positivly moderate the impact of external use of Enterprise social network teams on employee innovation performance;internal use of Enterprise social network teams has greater impact on employee task performance and employee innovation performance than external use of enterprise social network teams has.This is different from previous scholars' research results that internal use of enterprise social media teams has a stronger impact on task performance than external use of teams,and external use of enterprise social media teams has a stronger effect on innovation performance than internal use of teams.On this basis,we conducted a supplementary study to explain the reasons that our results are different from previous scholars' opinions.We verified the conclusions with the moderating role of the internal innovation system environment of the enterprise and divided our sampleinto three groups: the high-level organization's internal innovation system environment.Group,medium level group,low level group,and compare high level group with low level group.It is concluded that at a high level,the external use of enterprise social network teams has a greater impact on innovation performance than internal use,which is consistent with previous scholars' views.At a low level,the internal use of enterprise social network has a stronger impact on innovation performance than external use.This research shows that there are some differences between China and foreign countries.The external use of enterprise social network is not in place and has no effect.The conclusion verifies that the organization innovation environment plays an important role in the effect of social media use.Especially for external use,it is also important to cultivate a high-level institutional environment.The innovation institutional environment plays a catalyst role.These results can help researchers and practitioners better understand how enterprise social networks affect employee performance and what enterprise environment is more suitable for achieving these performance results,in order to better use social networks to improve corporate employee performance and bring benefits to the company maximize. |
