| The term "leftover girl" was born on the Internet in 2001.It was included in the "Chinese Language and Living Report 2006" by the Ministry of Education as a new Chinese vocabulary in August 2007.At the level of news communication,the group of "leftover girl" has not been lost so far.The media's attention and discussion on it,and the mass media's coverage of a particular group will affect the public's cognition and attitude to the group to a certain extent,and it will also affect the "leftover" group's identity with self.Under the realistic background that the age of first marriage is gradually increasing and the marriage rate is declining,it is of great significance to explore how the news media construct the image of "leftover women".This study takes the framework theory as the research basis,and draws on Taiwan scholar Zang Guoren's classification standards for news frameworks,using two methods of content analysis and text analysis.From the topic framework,narrative framework,and rhetoric framework,the China News Network 2013 From the analysis of the report in the seven years from January 1st to December 31 st,2019,four types of media images of "leftover women" were summed up: emotionally stressed passives,deceived vulnerable,demanding The four images of perfectionists and marital rationalists who pursue true love,and concluded that when the media reported on "leftover women",there were problems with the generalization of the reference objects,the stigma of the nature of the image,and the lack of in-depth mining of the news,and It further explores the influencing factors that influence the construction of the image of "leftover women" by the media,and puts forward suggestions for objectively shaping the "leftover women" media image from the media level,the public level,and the "leftover women" themselves. |
