Study On The Efficiency And Influence Factors Of Tourism Industry In Coastal Provinces Of China Empirical Analysis Based On DEA-TOBIT Model

In recent years,with the rapid development of tourism industry in China,tourism investment upsurge has been set up in various regions,and tourism has become one of the main driving forces to promote local economic development and increase people's income.However,in the process of tourism development,the extensive mode of tourism development is widespreading,which has become an important reason for restricting the development of regional tourism economy,and the transformation and upgrading of China's tourism industry is imminent.Therefore,the study of tourism efficiency is extremely important.The 11 coastal provinces play an important role in China's economic and social development,which has become typical.Besides,although the development of tourism in this area is relatively mature,the trend of short-term development is serious,so the quality and efficiency of tourism development should be improved urgently.A comprehensive evaluation of the efficiency and influence factors of the tourism industry in this region will not only improve the efficiency of tourism in the region,but also set an example for the transformation and upgrading of tourism in other regions of our country.This article first describes the present situation of the development of tourism in the coastal province,and then adopts the data envelopment analysis CCR,BCC and Malmquist model method,using the panel data of 11 coastal provinces in 2005-2015 years as the basis to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of efficiency,which mainly starts from two aspects:Static technical efficiency and dynamic total factor productivity.Then the Tobit model is used to explore the factors that influence the comprehensive efficiency of tourism industry.The results show that:(1)In terms of static technical efficiency,the comprehensive efficiency of the tourism industry in the provincial coastal areas of China is not high,the promotion of space is relatively large,and the relatively low scale efficiency is the main constraint factor.The level of comprehensive efficiency between provinces is different,the best performance for Tianjin City,Hainan province is the most unsatisfactory,and the factors restricting the comprehensive efficiency of the provinces are also different;(2)Dynamic total factor productivity,the total factor productivity of the whole tourism industry in China's coastal provinces is growing faster,and the annual growth rate is 10.7%.All provincial regions are also showing positive growth,and the growth rate can be divided into two types:rapid growth and growth.For both the whole and each province,technological progress and change are the main factors to promote the improvement of TFP.(3)The influencing factors,the service industry development level,the degree of opening to the outside world and the education level of residents have a significant positive impact on the comprehensive efficiency,while the traffic facilitation is negatively related.At the end of the article,based on the conclusions of the study,six proposals are provided to improve the tourism efficiency of the coastal provinces.
