Research On The Development Model Of Laos Industry And Trade Zone (VITA PARK)

Laos is one of the least developed countries in the world.For the sake of its own economic development,Laos has started to learn from the practices of developed countries and other developing countries in the world and set up special economic zones.According to the strategic plan for the development of Lao special economic zones and special economic prefectures for 2011-2020 formulated by the Lao government,10 special economic zones and 29 economic prefectures will be established in 41 target areas in the country by 2020.The purpose is to learn from the experience of China and other countries in the construction of special economic zones,increase investment,get rid of the state of underdevelopment as soon as possible,and speed up the transformation to modernization and industrialization.Based on the relevant theoretical basis and literature research at home and abroad,this paper takes Vientiane industry and Trade Special Economic Zone Industrial Park(VITA PARK)as the research object,first introduced VITA PARK The management system of the industrial park,preferential policies and favorable conditions for economic development.The Park also has the following problems: the government management system is not smooth,administrative efficiency is low;the enforcement of some existing laws and regulations in Laos is weak;the labor supply is insufficient and the quality is low;a relatively high inflation rate;imperfect infrastructure construction;various types of parks compete with each other and lack characteristics.VITA PARK,as a unique industrial park and pilot park in Laos,should further expand the functions of export processing zones on its original basis.Free trade area model development,and the specific content of each development model are introduced.Finally,we should improve laws and regulations and strengthen Customs supervision.All departments should strengthen communication and cooperation and make customs clearance more convenient and paperless.Strengthen the cultivation of talents and perfect the cultivation system;to further improve infrastructure construction in four areas,proposed the safeguard measures for the further development of VITA PARK.
