With the continuous improvement of the network within transportation and information facilities,the geographical distance hindrance has been gradually weakened.Elements of personnel,materials,information,technology and others have achieved space-time compression in this high-speed flow channels,the traditional “place space” is gradually replaced by the “flow space”,new methods of production and spatial organization have begun to emerge and have shown a variety of development trends.At this point,great changes have taken place in the study of urban geography,especially the research of regional spatial structure,the concentration of traditional central pattern focus on hierarchical scale theory is transformed into a mobile,open and multi-core networked research model,and the research hotspot has gradually changed from the previous urban hierarchy to the characteristics,structure,and connections of urban networks.Compared with the traditional static spatial connection between cities based on the attribute data and the quantitative model,the relational data based elements flow is more close to the nature of spatial relationship.Selected 30 provincial cities of the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration as the research object,with the provincial municipalities as the basic research unit,employing the number of buses,ordinary trains and high-speed trains based on the passenger transportation and Baidu index information respectively.Using spatial analysis method within GIS to extract and express the spatial distribution and spatial agglomeration characteristics of urban contact strength in the perspective of multivariate traffic and information flow.In the meantime,taking into account the spatial interaction of multiple traffic and information flows,we used the export scoring method to determine the weights of each element flow,and then received thecomprehensive contact matrix of cities under compound calculation.On this basis,drawing spatial correlation patterns of urban networks in perspective of different elements flow and integrated linkages to reveal the hierarchical features of the urban networks in the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration.In order to make further analysis in the organizational structure of urban network,using social network analysis method,structural indices to analyze the density,centrality,core-edge and agglomeration subgroup of the integrated network in the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration.Finally,comprehensively compared and used the spatial econometric model to excavate the influence factors of the urban network pattern,and on this basis,putted forward countermeasures and suggestions to optimize the urban network structure of the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration.The results show that:The traffic flow based on the spatial distribution of city's external links is characterized by axial belts.Cities with high-value areas are distributed along the main traffic lines;the external-connection spatial pattern of cities based on information flow has shown a “?” shape,which gradually diffuses to the outer circle.In terms of the spatial agglomeration of cities external contacts,thel relations between cities based on automobile transportation and Baidu Index have shown a clear spatial dependence,the agglomerative clustering characteristics of the core development regions and the southwestern regions are obvious.In the view of railway passenger flows,more features of spatial heterogeneity are presented,and there are fragmentation phenomenon with high values and low values distributed across different regions.The overall urban network based on road linkages is centered on regional centers and regional center cities,and its surrounding cities are related to the hinterland.The urban network based on railway linkages reflect the external links,inter-regional spatial relationships and railway accessibility characteristics of cities along the national railway major artery.The information flow network based onBaidu Index is closer and more complex to the transportation network,which overall presents a more comprehensive,balanced and coordinated spatial pattern.From the local perspective,the characteristics of the maximum centrifugal flow and centripetal flow of each element are obvious.In addition to the reversal of the direction of the largest dominant flow,the target objects are basically the same,which the whole can be divided into two major groups: central core area and marginal urban area.Cluster features an integrated network of contacts at a flow perspective composite elements significantly.The intensive areas are mostly concentrated in the central part of the Zhongyuan urban agglomerations,the out-degree,inward-degree centrality and intermediate degree of each city have shown a strong polarization.In the core-periphery structure division,12 core cities are all concentrated in Henan Province,especially in the core development area,while the edge cities are distributed in the western,northern and southeastern regional boundaries of the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration.What's more,the intra-regional clustering characteristics of the cities within the region are obvious,the urban distribution of the condensed subgroups is basically in line with the principle of spatial proximity and the integrated links between cities in the province are more closely linked than those in across provinces.A variety of factors can be explained for the influence mechanisms of regional spatial connections and their network characteristics.In this study,the urban basic scale,quality of economic development,infrastructure construction,information openness,transportation dominance,and location dominance factor have a strong ability to interpret comprehensive relations and their network characteristics;while cultural innovation ability and resource circulation ability have a positive influence on urban associations,their explanatory capabilities are relatively weak,so they are not the dominant factors affecting urban spatial connections and network characteristics.The optimization and promotion of the urban network of the Central Plains urban agglomerationshould take different measures for different districts: on the one hand,strengthen the main contact paths,especially strengthen the urban network connection in the metropolitan area of Zhengzhou,so that it can give full play to the radiation and driving capabilities of the regional core growth pole.On the other hand,it is necessary to strengthen the construction of interconnection and interoperability and promote the integration of the peripheral cities of the region into the overall network.Secondly,promote the upgrading and development of industries in cities and enhance the internal impetus of urban connections.At the same time,improve the integration policy and administrative planning system in urban agglomerations,break the restrictions on administrative effects,and establish institutional guarantees for urban linkages.
