Research On Intra-Industry Trade Of Sino-India Trade In Chemical Products

The generation and development of intra-industry trade is a product of a certain period of international economic development.It is a specialized division of labor and collaboration within the same industry among different countries.The transition from inter-industry trade to intra-industry trade is a trend of trade development in various countries.In recent years,India has surpassed the United States as the country that has initiated the most anti-dumping investigations against Chinese chemical products.The analysis and study of the scale and level of intra-industry trade in China and India and the existing problems and reasons are of great significance for reducing the bilateral trade friction between China and India,learning from the comparative advantages of the other side,improving the international competitiveness of their respective chemical products and promoting intra-industry trade of the chemical products of the two countries.The first chapter of this article starts from the development process of intra-industry trade theory and the background of the trade of chemical products between China and India.It points out the severe situation which China-India chemical products trade are facing and the issues that need to be solved urgently.It also explains the significance and purpose of India as a comparative study object.Reviewing domestic and foreign research literature on chemical products and their intra-industry trade,and put forward the theoretical basis for the study.The second chapter describes the current status of intra-industry trade of chemical products in China and India,analyzes the scale and structure of intra-industry trade,and points out the characteristics and trends of intra-industry trade in chemical products between China and India.The third chapter uses the GL index and MIIT index to carry out a static and dynamic analysis of the intra-industry trade level of chemical products between China and India.At the same time,the RCA index and TCI index are used to illustrate the intra-industry trade competitiveness of China-India chemical products in terms of competitiveness and complementarity.The fourth chapter,according to the measurement and classification of the intra-industry trade level of China and India in chemical products,points out that from the national,industry,and industry levels,there is a lack of political mutual trust in the intra-industry trade of chemical products between China and India,backward industrial structure,excessive trade balance,and excessive trade protection.,low product differentiation,unreasonable division of labor within the industry,etc.,and then analyses the related reasons.The fifth chapter addresses the problems and causes of the intra-industry trade in chemical products between China and India.From the national,industrial,and corporate levels,it reinforces political trust between the two countries,speeds up optimization of the chemical industry structure,increases independent innovation of chemical products,and expands investment.The policy recommendations for improving the intra-industry trade of chemical products between China and India are given.
