In the context of China's Reform and Opening,China's private enterprises have begun to implement “Go global strategy” actively and carry out outward foreign direct investment.At present,China has become the world's second largest outward foreign direct investment country.In the domestic and foreign competitive environment that developed countries' multinational companies use monopoly advantages to invest globally,emerging countries use their small scale technology advantages to occupy niche markets,and China's state-owned enterprises have vigorously developed outward foreign direct investment under the national support,why do private companies in China want to carry out outward foreign direct investment? This paper through the research on the outward foreign direct investment theory of developed countries and developing countries,the description of the development and characteristics of private enterprises in China,analyze the outward foreign direct investment motivations of China's private enterprises under the influence of globalization,national policy support,the openness of the host countries,and the efforts of the China's private enterprises themselves.Select two private enterprises Haier Group and Midea Group which have developed well in outward foreign direct investment in China's household appliance industry.First,through quantitative analysis identify the motivations which affect the Haier Group's outward foreign direct investment,and then compare the different motivations when they choose to invest in developed countries and developing countries.Identify the lack of motivations on outward foreign direct investment,and give China's private enterprises' outward foreign direct investment suggestions and countermeasures in the future.
