HSBC is a world leader of the international bank with the history of more than 150 years,the business scope of HSBC has covered 64 countries and regions around the world,it has been formed a lot of valuable experience during the process of internationalization.This paper studies HSBC's successful experience in international operation since the end of last century,and mainly introduces HSBC's main measures in human resource management strategy,risk management strategy and merger and acquisition strategy with its own characteristics.In terms of the human resource management,HSBC has a system about the selection,training,use,and leaving of talents,these aspects has their own unique management system and practices.The recruitment and training system especially the management system,performance management system,job analysis and salary management system is a typical feature of HSBC.In terms of risk management strategy,HSBC's crisis management measures,credit management system and electronic information construction and risk management structure are relatively perfect,and it can be flexibly adjusted with the change of objective situation.This is an important reason why HSBC can smooth through the financial crisis.The case study of HSBC's acquisitions of two foreign banks shows that HSBC's unique corporate culture and management structure play a crucial role in its global landscape.All in all,HSBC is responsible for building an international leading bank in the world.With the strategic layout of globalization,they always maintain prudent business tradition.This is the key for HSBC to become the world's leading international bank.The international strategy of HSBC has very positive significance and enlightenment to China commercial bank for their international distribution.The first one is that China commercial bank should implement standardized management.The second one is that the development of core business should construct a prudent business model.The last one is that the banks in China should absorb the overseas resources and broaden the space of mergers and acquisitions.
