A Study On Spatial Differentiation And Driving Forces Of Regional Economy In Jiangsu Province

Regional economic spatial differentiation is a hot topic of scholars,Jiangsu is economically developed,but the regional economic differences are very significant.At present,the study of regional economic pattern is mainly based on economic statistical methods,which lacks of degree of presentation of the characteristics of the pattern.The full integration of spatial information will make the regional economic research more comprehensive and in-depth,which is of great significance for promoting regional coordinated development.Based on the above background and significance,this paper takes Jiangsu Province as the research area,and takes the geography basic data and economic statistics of county units in Jiangsu Province from 1990 to 2015 as the research object,to explore the spatial differentiation and driving mechanism of regional economy in Jiangsu Province,from the perspective of regional economic research and spatial information.(1)In this paper,the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of regional economic spatial differentiation in Jiangsu Province are revealed by standard deviation ellipse method,spatial variation function,Kriging interpolation and exploratory spatial data analysis.It is found that the regional economic focus is obvious southeast,and the regional economic difference has experienced the process of strengthening,weakening,re-strengthening and weakening again.The evolution of the east-west difference is 1 to 2 years of lag,and the north-south direction is the focus of Jiangsu Province to adjust the regional economic differences.There is a lag of about one year when major policies have a substantial impact.The economic hot spots gradually grow from the "one core two sub-core" spatial structure into "two core one sub-core".Economic cold spots in the north of the Yangtze River is "x" font distribution.The economic distribution has obvious characteristics along the river,and the Yangtze River becomes the dividing line of regional economy.The stochastic factors in the economic spatial difference of Jiangsu Province are decreasing while the structural factors are increasing,and their heterogeneity in all directions is increasing,only the east-west direction is slightly decreasing.Jiangsu Province mainly forms the Nanjing economic circle,the near Shanghai economic circle and the Xuzhou economic circle.The Huai-Su-Lian-Yan economic cold circle forms the largest economically backward area of Jiangsu Province.Regional economic agglomeration effect in Jiangsu Province is strong,with a stronger lag when the evolution rate is more gentle.Before the long-term enhancement,it will experience a short period of weakening.And there is a strong sticky,and the policy of the effect to change economic agglomeration is poor.The regional economy of Jiangsu Province has the characteristics of gathering along the Yangtze River and the Taihu Lake,and the areas having similar development trend to gather in space.(2)After the use of spatial difference coefficient and the fit of spatial error model,it is determined that the spatial differentiation of regional economy in Jiangsu Province is significantly related to the factors such as investment,consumption,foreign trade,industrialization,labor force,finance,living standard,traffic,sea shipping and Yangtze.Then,the geo-weighted regression model and the superposition analysis and correlation analysis are used to explore the driving mechanism of spatial differentiation of regional economy in Jiangsu Province from the natural environment and resources,geographical location,the international economic situation and scientific and technological progress,policy,human resources,traffic construction,history and culture and key elements.It is found that the policy plays a leading role in driving.The driving effect of the natural environment and resources is mainly concentrated in the partial areas.The advantages of geographical location can effectively promote economic development,while away from the economic center and the Yangtze River will lead to the slow economic growth of the economic circle.Economic globalization is a " double-cutting sword ",scientific and technological progress promotes the economic circle in Jiangsu Province to produce" Matthew effect".The differences in human resources lead to the development gap of different economic circles.Traffic construction and regional economic development are clearly positive correlation and traffic construction promotes the formation and evolution of the economic circles in Jiangsu Province.The areas which have similar culture or complementary key elements are more likely to form an economic circle.
