Industrial agglomeration is one of the important economic phenomena of regional industrial distribution,and the representative industries of many countries are concentrated in areas that fit their industrial characteristics.At the same time,technological innovation is gradually replacing elements and investment as the main driving force for economic growth.On the relationship between industrial agglomeration and technological innovation has been one of the hot issues of academic concern,the conclusion is also a matter of opinion.Based on the systematic analysis of the synergic effect of industrial agglomeration and the mechanism of crowding-out effect on technological innovation,this paper uses the data of2001-2015 to measure the degree of agglomeration of Chinese manufacturing industry.Based on the regional differences and industry heterogeneity perspectives.This paper analyzes the degree of industrial agglomeration in 30 provincial administrative regions and 27 sub-industries in manufacturing sector,and then builds a threshold model to empirically test the impact of industrial agglomeration on technological innovation and examines the dynamic evolution of the relationship between the two.With a view to provide theoretical basis and decision-making reference for the optimization of China's manufacturing space layout and the formulation of policies related to technological innovation.The empirical results show that there are obvious regional differences in the impact of manufacturing agglomeration on technological innovation in the regional perspective.In the eastern region,the agglomeration degree of manufacturing industry has a positive and negative impact on technological innovation.The agglomeration degree of manufacturing industry in the central region The impact of change on the technology innovation industry is not significant;there is always a significant positive correlation between manufacturing industry concentration and technological innovation in the western region.From the perspective of industry,the intensity and direction of manufacturing industry agglomeration on technological innovation are related to industry characteristics.For labor-intensive and resource-intensive manufacturing industries,the crowding-out effect of industrial agglomeration has more effect on technological innovation than that of synergies;In the capital-intensive manufacturing industry,the overall effect of industrial agglomeration on technological innovation is positive.For technology-intensive manufacturing industries,there is nosignificant relationship between industrial agglomeration and technological innovation.
