During the two sessions in 2018,Xi Jinping pointed out that both urbanization and reverse urbanization must be promoted. In the process of urbanization, rural areas cannot decline, and in the future, rural development and urbanization should complement each other.Hebei Province also attaches great importance to the issue of urbanization. As early as 2017,the Housing Department of Hebei Province issued the “Planning of Urban Systems in Hebei Province(2016-2030)”,and made a series of plans for urbanization in Hebei Province and the functional orientation of each city. This issue is to study the problems of modern urbanization in Hebei Province and is of great significance to the urbanization of Hebei Province. The paper adopts a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to divide into four parts to study the subject.First of all,the data visualization method is used to describe the development of urbanization in Hebei province. Then we use the discriminant analysis method to study the urbanization level of Hebei Province in 2016 and 2007 respectively, and obtain the ranking grouping status of Hebei Province in the national urbanization level. We can see the gap with other provinces and cities and can also compare the change of the level of urbanization in Hebei Province before and after.Related to the actual situation,it classifies cities in Hebei Province and studies the development of urbanization in each region of Hebei Province.Analyze all aspects of Hebei's urbanization process: low urbanization, uncoordinated development of urban and rural areas, unbalanced industrial structure, uncharacterized urban layout, and imperfect urban system. Finally, based on the above content, some relevant policy suggestions are proposed for the development of urbanization in Hebei Province.
