With the development of economy and the progress of science and technology,the market competition is becoming much fierce.As the mainstay of Chinese economy,the manufacturing industry is facing many pressures from home and abroad.In the past,the strategy of low technology and low cost could not meet the development demand of the current market.Enhancing the level of technology innovation is the only way to enhance the market competitiveness of manufacturing products by substantial,and catching the market share can be preempted.However,technological innovation is a risky activity with large investment and long period.Enterprises are inevitably driven by internal and external factors before making innovation decisions.Enterprise performance is the most intuitionistic way to investigate the development of enterprises,and it can provide reference for enterprises to make strategic plans through performance feedback.The performance and vision of the enterprise will affect the development of the enterprise innovation plan and become an important driving force for the implementation of the enterprise innovation plan strategy.Especially in the increasingly competitive market environment,managers who receive negative performance feedback face multiple pressures.However,any mistakes in decision-making are likely to further worsen enterprise performance and bring about a series of chain reactions.In order to get out of this dilemma,the enterprise must rationally choose the appropriate strategy so that it will not be completely eliminated.Any decision is directly related to the fate of the enterprise.Should companies survive the crisis by cutting funding or human resources in the face of poor performance,or should they choose to take the risk of innovation? Does the s resources have an impact on the managers who receive negative feedback to make innovation plans? Will market competition increase the possibility of innovation?Based on organizational behavior theory,prospect theory and agency theory,this paper studies the influence of negative performance feedback on technology innovation strategy.This paper also discusses whether the relationship between redundant resources and product market competition will be adjusted.Based on the panel data of Chinese manufacturing A-share listed enterprises from 2011 to 2015,it is concluded that the negative performance feedback and technology innovation of manufacturing enterprises are inversely U-shaped.The innovation input of enterprises receiving negative performance feedback increases with the increase of the gap,and once beyond the range that enterprises can afford,the technology innovation decreases with the increase of expected drop,Slack resources positively adjust the relationship between performance expectation and technology innovation.When negative performance feedback does not exceed the allowable range,slack resources weaken the positive relationship between negative performance feedback and technology innovation,and when negative performance feedback exceeds the allowable range,The negative relationship between performance expectation and technology innovation input can be weakened by precipitating Slack resources,and the negative relationship between performance expectation and technology innovation investment can be adjusted negatively by market competition,when negative performance feedback does not exceed the allowable range,Market competition will strengthen the positive relationship between performance expectation and technology innovation,and when negative performance feedback exceeds the allowable range,market competition will strengthen the negative relationship between negative performance feedback and technology innovation.Through the theoretical support and the hypotheses,combined with practical recommendations for the future development of manufacturing enterprises: enterprises should pay close attention to the dynamic performance of its own,set goals for performance,and timely performance feedback,when the negative performance feedback,not disorderly feet,to the rational use of redundant resources at hand,the fierce market competition as a driving force,take appropriate management strategies,to encourage innovation,to lay a good comeback for the enterprise.
