With the widespread of Internet and the leap in science and technology,the frequency and amount of man-made data have well passed any time in history,which marked the beginning of the Big Data Era.Big Data has brought opportunities and challenges for business operation.The corporations making the best use of the data are more likely to make better decisions with regard to production,purchasing,marketing and management.Due to the crush in the clothes-sale industry under e-commerce environment,this research selected the most famous fast-fashion brand,MT Corporation,as the subject of study.Since it went public in 2008,problems such as low sales revenue and high inventory appeared in this company.By collecting and analyzing related information,the author found out that the problems were caused by low inventory-management efficiency,incomplete share of information along the supply chain and unrealistic plan for production and sales.Two steps are carried out as the solution to the problem.On the one hand,the suppliers,distributors and all related departments inside the corporation shall be included to build the database to provide inspiration for decision-making.On the other hand,IOT-related devices will be suggested in different stages of warehouse management,so as to overcome the present problems of prolonged routine,unstandardized practices and manual errors,etc.This research has reached the combination of Big Data and IoT,therefore can not only solve the current problem of MT Corporation,but also provide insight for similar cases and researches.
