Through the analysis of the scale economy effect, density effect and specialization effect of the agglomeration in the process of urbanization, this paper studies the influence of agglomeration economy on urban economic efficiency. It is found that,in a certain population concentration, the excessive expansion of cities will weaken the influence of scale economies. The effect of density effect on labor economy efficiency is limited by city scale;producer services' specialization effect to output per head in eastern, central and western areas are significant, but from the perspective of the size of coefficient, the greatest influence is in the western region, the central region is ranked second, and the eastern area is least affected.Based on China's 285 cities' panel data in 2009-2015,the empirical analysis of China's agglomeration economy effect in the process of urbanization on urban economic efficiency is made, using the fixed effects model and threshold regression model. The empirical results show that:Firstly, the expansion of population will have a positive impact on urban economic efficiency. When the urban built-up area is used to measure the size of the scale economy effect, controlling the urban population scale, there are inverted u-shaped relationship between the urban built-up area and the city's productivity efficiency. The relationship is same between the urban built-up area and economic efficiency of labor.Secondly,The density effect has a significant positive effect on the urban productivity efficiency, and the employment density increases by 1 percentage point, and the per capita output will increase by 0.056 percentage points. In labor economic efficiency model, population scale is chosen as the threshold variable,It is found that when the population size is less than 1.179 million, the employment density increases by 1 percentage point, labor productivity will increase by 0.058 percentage points, but when population size more than or equal to 1.179 million, every 1 increase of the employment density, labor productivity will decrease by 0.109 percentage points. When the urban built-up area is chosen as threshold variable, when the urban built-up area is less than 57 square kilometers, each 1 percentage point increase of the employment density, the urban worker average wage will increase by 0.09 percentage points, but when the urban built-up area is more than or equal to 57 square kilometers, the density effect has no significant impact on pure labor productivity.Thirdly, producer services' specialization effect in eastern, central and western areas all have significant effect on the comprehensive economic efficiency, but from the perspective of the coefficient, there exists regional differences.Every 1 percentage point rise in producer services' location entropy, output per head in the eastern region will increase by about 0.08 percentage points, output per head in the eastern region will increase by about 0.20 percentage points, the greatest influence is in the western region, output per head in the eastern region will increase by about 0.29 percentage points. In the analysis of economic efficiency of labor and land resources use efficiency, the regional differences also exist. In policy recommendations, differentiation urbanization strategy should be implemented based on the scale of urban population. The regional heterogeneity needs to be concerned in the producer services' development. The integration of land and population, the match of industry and city should be emphasized in the urbanization course.
