Over the past 20 years,the sustained growth of China economy has led a fast development of medium voltage drive business.As one of the medium voltage drive manufactures whom came to china market at the earliest,with outstanding sales performance,Rockwell Automation has become the Top 10 supplier in the industry.However,in recent years,the global economic slowdown has been affected the real economy,the medium voltage market competition environment is even worse.Under the present hard situation,Rockwell is also faced with a series of challenges,such as profit decline,backward internal operation management etc,those factors has been stunted the development of its medium voltage drive business.So Rockwell urgently need to find out suitable solutions to overcome the challenges and achieve a sustainable development.This article takes Rockwell Automation medium voltage drive business as the object Of study,firstly,analyze the internal and external environment by using the PEST model,five strength models etc tools,to identify the influencing factors that impact the business;then analyze company's opportunities,threats,strengths and the weaknesses by using the SWOT matrix,to define the future development direction and objective;finally,elaborates on how to set up the differentiation,how to acquire the core competitiveness,work out the competitive strategy.Also,evaluates its Adaptability,to prove differentiation is a feasible and suitable strategy to develop the medium voltage business.At the last,link the strategy together with the KPI of each division or individual by introducing of balance card to ensure a successful strategy implementation and realize the Rockwell's competitive strategy objective.Upon the real case study,it is a good reference to the companies in the similar fast developing stage,to manage their company competitive strategy.
