With the extension and application of network technology in the organization,the virtual community of the organization plays an increasingly important role in the work and life of the staff.In addition,due to the flat organization structure and project management,the number of peers is far more than the superiors or mentors.Compared with mentoring,peer mentoring is easier to achieve.However,the research about the phenomenon is seldom.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the relationship between employees' sense of virtual community(SOVC)and peer mentoring.Firstly,this paper reviews the literature of the SOVC,peer mentoring,self-presentation and reciprocity.The research hypothesis consist of three parts: the impact of SOVC on peer mentoring,the mediating effect of self-presentation and moderating effect of reciprocity.Then,the empirical analysis method is used to report the questionnaire and data acquisition,including the designation and the framework of the questionnaire,and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire.Based on 235 valid questionnaires,this study examines the hypothesis by regression analysis and SEM.There are three conclusion in this paper.First,SOVC has a positive impact on peer mentoring,the greatest impact on psychological support,the medium impact on career support,the smallest impact on role modeling.Second,the amount and depth of self-presentation have the mediating effect of the relationship between SOVC and peer mentoring.Third,reciprocity has the moderating effect on the relationship.Based on the conclusions,this paper puts forward three suggestions.First,the organization should operate the virtual community well.Second,enhancing the community ship of the organization.Third,building the harmonious employee relations.In the end,this paper points out the shortcomings of the research and prospects the future research.
