The laser-diode(LD)side-pumped gain-medium technology,Q-switched technology,and cavity emptying technology can achieve pulsed laser with high single-pulse energy,narrow pulse width,high peak power.The advantages of high energy conversion efficiency and the ability to achieve a series of nonlinear transformations have been widely used in industrial finishing,medical,laser radar,laser communications,laser ranging and many other fields.In order to obtain 946 nm laser and 1123 nm laser with narrow pulse width and high peak power,the following experimental study was conducted:The experimental study of a double-switched Q 946 nm laser with narrow pulse width and high peak power was carried out.Highly-doped,large-sized Nd: YAG crystal rods,monolithic dual 45o-Mg O: LN lateral y-pressurized electro-optic Q-switch crystals and single-layer Mo Se2 passive saturable absorber mirrors are pumped by pulsed 808 nm LD.By the optimal design of the resonant cavity of double-switched Q,at a pulse repetition frequency of 550 Hz,producing a 946 nm linearly polarized pulsed laser output with a pulse width of 9.1 ns and a peak power of 346 k W.The experimental study of a 1123 nm cavity emptying laser with narrow pulse width and high peak power was carried out.The pulsed 808 nm LD is used to pump high-doped,large-size Nd:YAG ceramic rods,Mg O: LN electro-optical crystal lateral pressure electrooptic modulation and cavity emptying technology,through the optimal design of the cavity empty resonant cavity,at a pulse repetition frequency of 100 Hz,a 1123 nm linearly polarized pulsed laser output with a narrow pulse width of 4.07 ns and a peak power of 9.73 MW was obtained.
