Laser target system has been widely used in the field of guidance depends on its high accuracy and high anti-interference ability.How to improve the detecting capability of the system in fog is an urgent issue to be resolved.This paper makes a research of real-time video processing technology and hardware implementation in laser target system.Image defogging algorithm and real-time video compression algorithm are thoroughly studied in this paper.First,the basic principles of laser target system including hardware structure and software design are explained in detail.In foggy days,the details of video are flooded,the scene boundary and contour are difficult to distinguish.After analyzing classical image sharpening technology,an image defogging algorithm is proposed based on dark channel prior and Retinex theory.Then,an adaptive piecewise nonlinear gray scale stretching method is proposed in the case of image dynamic range compression and the effectiveness of the algorithm is proved by the software simulation.Finally,the algorithm is improved and realized in the FPGA according to the computing power and parallel processing characteristics of FPGA.The video after processing is consistent with human vision system and has a good imaging result.In order to solve the problem of real-time compression,storage and playback of video in the system,a H.264 video codec scheme based on DM368 is designed.First,the video preprocessed by FPGA is collected inside DSP through API functions of V4L2.Then,the video compression coding is completed by HDVICP/MJCP on the DM368 and the compressed file is stored in the SD card.Finally,Qt graphical user interface is designed for the menu takeover.The experiment shows that the video data through the system compression coding is completely correct after decoding,and the video has a good quality and meet the real time requirement.
