In this thesis,the dehydration of 2-(4'-ethylbenzoyl)benzoic acid(BE acid)into 2-ethylanthraquinone was carried out over different zeolite catalyst,including H?,ZSM-5,ZSM-12,USY zeolite.Among all the acidic zeolite,the H? catalyst showed the best catalytic performance.BE acid dehydration reaction conditions were optimized over the H? zeolite catalyst.The suitable reaction conditions were as follows:the reaction temperature was 260 ?,the reaction time was 2 h,the amount of catalyst was 28.6 wt%of BE acid.The conversion of BE acid was 95%and selectivity to 2-ethylanthraquinone was 97%under the optimal reaction conditions.H? zeolites were modified by hydrochloric acid and phosphotungstic acid.The changes of the structures and acidic properties of H? zeolites which were modified by different concentrations of hydrochloric acid and phosphotungstic acid were investigated 'by XRD,N2 physical adsorption and desorption,SEM,NH3-TPD.The dehydration of BE acid to 2-ethylanthraquinone was conducted over the H? zeolite catalysts which were modified by different concentrations of acid.The experiment results showed that acid could remove zeolite extra-framework aluminum species and parts of the framework aluminum species,reduce the acid strength,adjust the distribution of zeolite Br(?)onsted acid and Lewis acid sites.H? zeolite catalyst generated more secondary mesoporous after treated with acid and the diffuse abilities of reactant molecules were remarkably enhanced which resulted in a higher catalytic performance.Nap zeolites were modified by NaOH solution.The changes of the structures and acidic properties of the zeolites which were modified by different concentrations of NaOH solution were investigated.The zeolites generated more secondary mesoporous after treated with alkaline and diffuse abilities of reactant molecules were remarkably enhanced which resulted in a higher catalytic performance.The conversion of BE acid was up to 99.5%and selectivity to 2-ethylanthraquinone was 97%under the optimal reaction conditions.The repeat performance of parent zeolite and zeolite modified by NaOH solution was investigated by TG and DTG The ability of coke-resistance was investigated using the parent and alkaline-treated zeolite.The regeneration conditions of alkaline-treated zeolite were investigated and the results suggested that the catalyst performance of zeolite could be regenerated by calcined in the flowing atmosphere.When the alkaline-treated zeolite was used for four times,the catalytic performance was relative high.
