We synthesis a polypropylene grafted single carbon nanotube material by covalent grafted,and use modified nanotube making polypropylene-nanotub composites.by amidation twice for nanotubes,modified the nanotubes grafted polypropylene reached 70%(by thermogravimetric analysis results shown),but arnidation once for nanotubes grafted onto 20%of the polypropylene.Twice graft synthetic substances own a dendritic structure on a large number of polypropylene grafted by covalent bond using infrared spectroscopy,XPS,XRD,thermal gravimetric analysis,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy analysis carbon nanotubes secondary grafted polypropylene(PP-re-g-SWNTs)the structure of the material,and can be successfully proved graft success.After our PP-re-g-SWNTs as reinforcement polypropylene as the base system became a carbon nanotube/polypropylene composite material and test the tensile properties of the composite material,bending properties,electrical properties,and found that this material tensile modulus and flexural modulus carbon nanotubes accounted for 0.6%,respectively,an increase of 55%and 66%,and prominent a feature in carbon nanotubes accounted for 20%(high SWNT loading nano-composites)of the composite material and compared to pure polypropylene tensile modulus and flexural modulus did not decline to the contrary,there is a little improved,which is the most important feature about the mechanical properties of the composites.Then we use the three thermodynamic analysis method thermal gravimetric analysis,DSC,DMA analysis of the reasons for the improvement of the mechanical properties of the composite material,and the detailed description of the structure of this dendrimer for the dispersibility of the carbon nanotubes in the composite material,the interface adhesion strength plays a significant role in the enhanced,so as to solve the of carbon nanotubes toughest reunion of the two major issues and interface strength.Finally,high-impedance meter test a different percentage of the carbon nanotube content in the composite material,the results show that with increasing the carbon nanotube content of the conductivity of the composite material also has a large degree of improvement,also for the development of composite materials in the electrical field has a very broad prospects.
