The efficiency and quality of oilfield oil-water separation has an important relationship with the oil-water interface measurement system,due to the oil-water interface of the high water content of crude is not clear and has a large transition zone,make the sensing measurement parameters of sedimentation separation process fail,leading to incomplete separation of oil-water and a sharp increase in electricity dehydration process consumption and other adverse effects.Urgent need of new oil-water interface detection technology to solve this practical engineering problem.Time Domain Reflectometry technology has the advantages of distributed sensing,by the electrical impulses measures the permittivity distribution of Oil?water and mixture distributed along the metal measuring pole,no moving parts,is a new means to solve the problem of oil-water interface measurement techniques.Aiming at the actual project requirements of the measure of oil-water separator interface,this paper designs oil-water interface measurement system based on TDR technology.The system includes detection sensing unit,a high-frequency signal transmission and reception modules,coaxial cable and remote computer control module.Carried out the research of Time Domain Reflectometry principle,coaxial cable characteristic analysis,signal sensing unit designs,high-frequency equivalent sampling technique and echo signals of the time domain analysis.This paper constructs an oil-water interface test platform based on FPGA signal generation module,coaxial probe detection unit and a digital oscilloscope.Aiming at TDR probe signal across different media in the dissemination process of appearing a short circuit and characteristics of the propagation process,this paper designs multiple sets of comparative experiments.Through the derivation relationship between the test platform acquired the time domain reflected waveform information and the actual level of on the location of oil-water interface,the paper will verify the feasibility based on the design of TDR measurement system.This paper is designed and validated some critical technology of oil-water interface measurement system based on TDR.This technique has the advantage of simple structure,easy to install,low power consumption,high precision.Meet the needs of high water status in oil separation settlement monitoring.Has a good application foreground.
