With the adjustment of China's economic structure,powder metallurgy has developed rapidly as a kind of material saving and high efficiency methods.In recent years,powder metallurgy parts have developed to large scale and high strength.Super-large powder forming machine can meet the market demand and improves the product performance.The 8500kN Super-large Powder Molding Press was researched in this subject,aimed to solve the problems of structural design.Firstly,the overall demand of 8500kN Powder Molding Press was considered,and the overall structure was designed based on the qualifications.The key parts of the machine was designed and analyzed,and the 3D model was established with Solidworks.Secondly,with the help of ADAMS,the motion of main transmission system was simulated.The position,speed and acceleration of the slider were analyzed through the kinematics simulation;the unbalance inertial force was improved with Balance Cam through the dynamics simulation.In addition,the bottom dead center(BDC)accuracy of the slider was studied.Through the analysis of the influencing factors,the optimal process parameters were determined,and the forming accuracy of the Powder Molding Press was improved.Eventually,the finite element model of the combined frame was established with Workbench.Through Static Analysis,the strength and stiffness of combined frame were checked;through Modal Analysis,the natural frequency and response modes of combined frame was researched.Finally,with the key dimensions as the design variables,the maximum stress and deformation as the constraint conditions,and the total mass as the objective function,the structure of combined frame was optimized for lightweight.The mass of frame was reduced by 6.7%,and the result showed more reasonable.This Super-large Powder Molding Press reached the design requirement.The results of this subject can provide the reference for the development of large mechanical powder forming machine.
