In recent years,with the gradual improvement of people's living standards,people's demand for jewelry has also increased.Due to the limitations of traditional design methods,new ideas for exploring design have become an upsurge of contemporary jewelry design.As a branch of mathematics,fractal geometry forms a cross-border fusion with art.As a new art form,fractal art has played an irreplaceable guiding role in many design fields.Fractal patterns as a carrier of fractal art,the ever-changing content,can provide a steady stream of design inspiration for jewelry design.This article takes the application of fractal patterns in jewelry design as the research content.Starting from the multi-domain application of fractal geometry and exploring new ideas for jewelry design,the design surveys the development status of jewelry design and fractal geometry and the scientific background of fractal geometry.The aesthetic features of fractal art include symmetry,balance,change,harmony,randomness,rhythm,and the coexistence of science and aesthetics;examples illustrate the wide range of fractal geometry in the design fields of painting,architecture,clothing,products,and visual engineering.The application summarizes the development of computer aided fractal art from plane to stereo,from static to dynamic,from abstract to reality,and from theory to practice.In the middle stage of the design,the computer fractal software Apophysis 7X was used to draw nearly 200 fractal patterns through template creation and original fractal patterns.The fractal patterns were associated with artificial materials and natural materials,and fractal shapes were applied to the jewelry design.Methods.In the late stage of the design,the representative fractal patterns were sorted out and put into a large number of jewelry design cases.Finally,two sets of design schemes for definitive fractal jewelry and six sets of design schemes for random fractal jewelry were obtained,and fractal patterns were realized.Cross-border fusion withjewelry design.For jewellery design,the appearance of beauty and new is the most important factor to impress consumers.In the face of high-speed fashion trends,innovation is the most competitive means to satisfy consumers' pursuits.Fractal geometry and Cross-border integration of jewelry design is just such a brand-new creative way to adapt to the trend of the times.
