Cucurbit[n]urils are highly symmetric macrocyclic moleculars known to date besides cyclodextrins,calixarenes,cryptands and crown ethers.The pumpkin-shaped container have a characteristic electrostatically neutral,rigid hydrophobic cavity accessible through negatively charged regions around the portal carbonyl groups and electrostatically positive outer surfaces.Cucurbit[n]uril chemistry can generally be catalogued into Q[n]-based host–guest chemistry,Q[n]-based coordination chemistry,outer-surface interaction of Q[n]and the Q[n]s synthesis,among about2300 papers and patents up to the end of March,2017,according to a survey by SciFinder,Q[n]-based host–guest chemistry has always been the mainstream and accounts for around 75%,Q[n]-based coordination chemistry has become an important research area and accounts for around 15%,Q[n]s synthesis around 7%of the relevant.In this thesis,bis-nor-seco-cucurbit[10]uril?NS-Q[10]?,a new member of cucurbiturils with novel structural and functional properties was successfully synthesized according to the reported literatures.From a structural viewpoint,NS-Q[10]is consist of two identical rigid cavities,and the size of each cavity is similar in size to Q[7]host.As a result,binary and ternary complex of NS-Q[10]with the guest was generally observed.Herein,inspired by the unique property of NS-Q[10],a series of host-guest interactions based supramolecular studies from NS-Q[10]and its derivatives were carried out as following?i)The synthesis of NS-Q[10]and its derivatives,their structure were characterized and confirmed by 1H NMR techniques,single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis,and so on;ii)the supramolecular self-assembly of NS-Q[10]and its derivatives with guests G1,G2,G3were evaluated by fluorescent spectroscopy,ITC and 1H NMR titration experiment.As a control experiment,the properties of host-guest interactions of the same guests with other Q[n]s such as?Q[6]?Q[7]?Q[8]?Q[10]?HMeQ[6]?TMeQ[6]?were also studied;iii)host–guest interactions of NS-Q[10]and its derivative with a,w-alkyldiammonium guests?H3N?CH2?xNH3Cl2,x=4,6,8,10,and 12?were investigated by 1H NMR in aqueous solution.
