With the increasing scarcity of global resources,alternatives renewable resources to the fossil fuels have many attentions.As an important renewable platform,furfural?FAL?could be converted to 2-methylfuran?2-MF?by the selective hydrodeoxygenation?HDO?.It is well known that 2-MF is one of the important organic chemical intermediates and widely used in pharmaceuticals,pesticides and fine chemicals.Cobalt phosphide catalysts were prepared by a temperature programmed reduction method.CoP-1.5 showed better catalytic performance than other catalysts.When the reaction temperature was 220?,the reaction pressure was 1.5 Mpa,the reaction time was 4 h,and the amount of catalyst was 0.1 g,furfural could be completely converted.The selectivity of 2-methylfuran was 84.4%.When the CoP-1.5 catalyst was used for the fifth time,the catalyst was deactivated.In order to improve the selectivity of 2-methylfuran,copper phosphide catalysts were prepared by a simple pretreatment using a low temperature programmed temperature reduction method.With employing 0.1 g Cu3P-3.0 as the catalyst,the 100%conversion of furfural and the 95.0%selectivity of 2-methylfuran were given when the reactionwas carried out at 220? and 1.5 MPa for 4 h.When the catalyst was recycled for the fifth time,the catalyst was deactivated.In order to reduce the effective catalyst dosage and increase the service life,a series of supported copper phosphide catalysts were prepared by low temperature temperature-programmed reduction by using a copper source in an equal volume on the carrier.Among them,10Cu3P-5/SiO2 showed excellent catalytic performance.Using 0.3g 10Cu3P-5/SiO2 as a catalyst,the furfural was complete converted and the selectivity of 2-methylfuran was as high as 95.6%when the reaction was carried out at 200? and1.5 MPa for 5 h.After 7 cycles of use,the catalyst was deactivated.The optimized 10Cu3P-5/SiO2 increased the reuse time,reduced the reaction temperature and the effective catalyst amount,and had a good industrial application prospect.
