The carburizing + quenching process are widely used in the surface strengthening of workpieces in industrial production.Generally,after the steel parts are treated by carburizing + quenching,the surface hardness,wear resistance and fatigue resistance of the steel parts are effectively improved under the premise of maintaining high toughness.However,the corresponding conventional carburizing equipment has problems such as slow heating,high energy consumption,unstable quality of the layer and so on.Therefore,this paper proposes a new vacuum carburizing scheme based on the boost-diffusion type vacuum carburizing technology,using electromagnetic induction heating technology as the heating source.And the development of the corresponding electromagnetic induction vacuum rapid carburizing equipment by the National Natural Science Foundation of China,aims to improve the microstructure and the properties of Surface of the workpiece quickly,stably and with high quality.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Experimental study on electromagnetic induction vacuum rapid carburizing of20 CrMnTi steel,the purpose is to reveal the rule of microstructure and properties of20 CrMnTi steel after carburizing treatment,and optimizes the process according to kinetic theory.(2)Reasonable design of the structure,function and layout of the electromagnetic induction vacuum rapid carburizing equipment system.And combined with mechanical structure drawing and physical photo,to explain the structure principle and function of each component of the equipment.Then,according to the process requirements and control tasks,complete the design and debugging of the control system and HMI.(3)In order to verify the performance of electromagnetic induction vacuum rapid carburizing equipment,this equipment and 20 CrMnTi steel were used for carburizingexperiments.The results show that the equipment can produce carburized layer with excellent microstructure and thickness of 1320 ?m on the surface of 20 CrMnTi steel.In addition,an attempt was made to perform electromagnetic induction vacuum rapid nitriding experiments on 38 CrMoAl steel by replacing the equipment gas source and modifying the process parameters.The experimental results show that 38 CrMoAl steel electromagnetic induction vacuum rapid nitriding is more efficient than traditional vacuum nitriding and plasma nitriding.And preliminary analysis of the influence of electromagnetic induction heating on the nitriding layer and the difference from the traditional process.
