As a rich spiritual and cultural heritage of Chinese minorities,Miao silver ornaments should be inherited,applied and developed.However,restricted by the market limitations,geographical limitations,ethnic limitations and other factors,the traditional Miao silver handicraft design is relatively backward,patterns and styles are the same,reducing the enthusiasm of contemporary young consumers to buy.In order to design the Miao silver ornaments that meet the users' emotional needs and preferences,This paper studied the users'kansei cognitive preferences of Miao silver ornaments by using eye-movement and EEG technology,established the mapping relationship between image and product design elements by using kansei engineering method,transformed the kansei image of users'preferences into product design elements through mapping,and carries out innovative design of Miao's silver handicrafts based on design elements.After conducting a more in-depth discussion on the theoretical basis of visual cognition and kansei engineering and the technical support of eye-movement and EEG,Firstly,based on the design of the screening experiment of user's preferred products,eye tracking technology was used to extract the samples of Miao silver earrings that conformed to user's cognitive preferences from the typical samples,and several design features of the samples were analyzed and extracted from the aspects of design form,composition and modeling form.Secondly,an experimental study on preference perceptual image acquisition based on eye movement and EEG technology was carried out.According to the experimental results,the data of eye movement and EEG are analyzed comprehensively from two aspects of affective attributes and degree,and the kansei image vocabularies which accords with user's cognitive preferences were obtained.Thirdly,the Semantic Difference(SD)Scale was used to investigate the kansei imagery degree of preferred products,the images transmitted by preference samples were analyzed,and then the mapping relationships between perceptual image and design elements of preferred products were explored with the help of forward-type inferential kansei engineering technology to transform user's preferred image into design elements of preferred products;Finally,on the basis of design analysis,the design elements according to the user's preference were applied to the innovative design of Miao's silver earrings,and three sets of silver earrings which accord with the aesthetic preference of young consumers and have Miao characteristics were designed.In this paper,the cognitive preferences of users for products and product images can accurately screened by the physiological measurement technologies from the physiological point of view,the obj ectivity and accuracy of the transformation process of user's preferred image and product design elements can be improved,which can help designers to find the best form of expression to meet the different perceptual expectations of users,increase the market competitiveness of products,and achieve the continuation and protection of Miao culture industry.
