As microbial contamination becomes more serious,antimicrobial materials play an important role in preventing and eliminating microbial contamination in our daily lives.In this paper,Sc-Ag inorganic antibacterial materials were prepared by sol-gel method with amorphous silica as the carrier,which has high safety,excellent antibacterial performance and good development prospect.In this paper,single-factor experiments was used to discuss the effects of silver ion concentration,scandium ion concentration,reaction time and pH value on the antimicrobial properties of the materials,and the optimal preparation parameter interval was found.Then the response surface method was used for optimization analysis,and the optimal process parameters for the preparation of antimicrobial materials were obtained:The concentration of silver ion was 3×10-5 mol?L-1,the concentration of scandium ion was 0.005 mol?L-1,the reaction time was 70 min and the pH value was 5,and the antibacterial rate was up to 100%.Meanwhile,it was found that the most important factor influencing the antimicrobial performance of Sc-Ag antibacterial material was silver ion concentration,and it was the most significant effect that the interaction of silver ion concentration and reaction time between the in interaction of the two independent parameters on the antimicrobial properties of the composites.In order to have an in-depth understanding of the prepared materials,SEM,EDS,ICP,XRD,XPS,particle size and BET were used to characterize the materials,and Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were selected to test the antimicrobial properties of the materials.The results show that the Sc-Ag inorganic antibacterial material is amorphous,and the surface contains a large number of dense micropores,the metallic element silver and the rare earth element scandium can be successfully loaded into the amorphous silica and the surface content is in the majority,silver and scandium are loaded on the carriers in the forms of Ag and Sc2O3 respectively,has a small particle size and uniform dispersion,has a large specific surface area and a small pore size,and its large specific surface area is characterized by a greater contact between the material and the bacteria.The antimicrobial properties of the material are improved.Finally,the optimal sample of Sc-Ag inorganic antibacterial material was applied to polypropylene plastics to produce antibacterial plastics,The dispersion difference of antibacterial materials in plastic matrix before and after modification and its influence on the mechanical properties of plastics were discussed,The effect of the amount of antibacterial material added on the mechanical properties and antibacterial properties of plastics.The results show that the material modified by silane coupling agent has better dispersibility in the plastic matrix,which can obviously improve the mechanical properties of the plastic.With the increase of the amount of antibacterial material,the mechanical properties of the plastic are compared with the blank control group,and the antibacterial properties increase with the increase of the amount of antibacterial materials added.
