Supramolecular self-assembly is a field that has received much attention in recent years, and it will greatly promote the development of supramolecular self-assembly.At the same time,it promotes the development of information, energy, life, environment and materials science disciplines.Supramolecular self-assembly is based on hydrogen bonds,?…?bonds, coordination bonds and amphiphilicity and has achieved remarkable research results in the fields of inorganic-organic hybrid materials, microporous materials, molecular devices, coordination polymers and other research fields. In this paper,[1+1]and[2+2]Schiff base macrocycles containing 2,6-pyridinediimide groups were prepared by the laboratory“one-pot method”,and the selective conditions of the reaction were further investigated.By investigating the reaction selectivity of different reactant concentrations,H3PO4 concentration, reaction temperature and solvent polarity, the synthesis conditions of pure[1+1]Schiff base macrocycle and pure[2+2]Schiff base macrocyclie were obtained.Further studies on the assembly behavior of macrocyclic supramolecular through non-covalent interactions shown that:?1?[1+1]Schiff base macrocycle can obtain three different sizes of microspheres and it can also form gels when dissolved in a solvent of CH2Cl2-THF?V/V=1:1?.?2?[2+2]Schiff base macrocycle can obtain one kind of microspheres with different sizes and ifferent morphologies can be formed in different solvents.?3?[1+1]and[2+2]Schiff base macrocycles formed microspheres have a core-shell structure. Finally,by using the prepared[1+1]and[2+2]Schiff base macrocycles self-assembled into microspheres, the adsorption performance of heavy metal ions was investigated.??The selective synthesis investigation and characterization of Schiff base macrocycles La and LbSynthesis of diamine A and dialdehyde B:1,10-bis?2'-formylphenoxy?decane was synthesized by using salicylaldehyde as raw material and N,N'-?2-Aminophenyl?-2,6-dicarboximide pyridine was synthesized from 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid.Synthesis and characterization of[1+1]macrocycle La and[2+2]macrocycle Lb:Macrocycle La was synthesized from diamine A and dialdehyde B as reactants with changing the polarity of the solvent by adding distilled water and obtaining pure[1+1]under the catalysis of phosphoric acid.Pure[2+2]macrocycle Lb was synthesized from dialdehyde B and diamine A as reactants by adding n-hexane under the catalysis of phosphoric acid. The macrocycles were characterized by 1HNMR,IR,MS and X-single crystal diffraction techniques.??Investigation and characterization of the conditions of macrocyclic La and Lb self-assembled microspheresThe influence of macrocyclic La on the self-assembled microspheres and the size of microspheres in different acids, acidity, solvent polarity and other factors was investigated, and the perfect microsphere assembly conditions were obtained. On the basis of this, the thermal stability of the microspheres and the self-assembly of the microspheres in corresponding solvents to form a gel were further investigated. The formation conditions of macrocyclic La and Lb self-assembled to microspheres were investigated. The microspheres were characterized by thermal analysis,high-resolution mass spectrometry?MS?,FT-IR,and scanning electron microscope?SEM?.??The heavy metal ion adsorption performance of[1+1]and[2+2]Schiff base macrocyclic micro-nano particlesBased on the[1+1]and[2+2]assembled microspheres prepared, the adsorption properties of the two microspheres for four metal ions(Cu2+,Mn2+,Pb2+,Hg2+)were further investigated??ConclusionThe Schiff base macrocycles containing the group of pyridine 2,6-dicarboxamide is a sort of widely used artificial anion receptor in the study of anion recognition. However, only a few papers have been reported,in which micro/nano materials were obtained from Schiff base macrocycles based on intermolecular noncovalent interaction. This research will provide a new way for similar macrocycles in micro/nano materials assembly and their application research.
