With the development of urbanization in China,in order to obtain better living conditions, more and more rural people have left the country to work in cities, and children staying at home are basically guarded by the elderly or relatives.A large number of rural populations have provided a steady stream of labor to the cities, but at the same time the problem of rural left-behind children has become increasingly prominent. This article attempts to improve the problem of left-behind children in rural areas from the perspective of the research on the design of living space for children’s play and play. The author explores children’s psychological research and educational concepts, and conducts field investigations with Shuanghekou Primary School in Shaanxi Province and Dog Farm Primary School in Guizhou Province as examples. As observers and experimental educators, they elaborated and commented on local rural economic, cultural, and educational issues and the impact of these issues on the physical and mental health of left-behind children in rural areas. They also explored how rural children’s games and play space studies reflect on how to improve rural left-behind children.
