technology and the popularization of smart terminal,smart mobile device has become a primary tool by which people could shortly connect to the Internet.Some small and medium-sized enterprises and individuals,who engaged in highway logistics,need to obtain the With the development of mobile communication real-time status and location information of vehicles.In order to meet their demands,the Vehicle Tracking System for highway logistics based on Android is designed and implemented,meanwhile optimized from the point of view of continuous tracking,GPS data acquisition and map matching.The Vehicle Tracking System for highway logistics is developed with Django and Android SDK with the help of the open source framework such as Nginx,Uwsgi,PostgreSQL and so on,which realizes the functions of daily affairs management and vehicle tracking on smart mobile device to reduce the costs of use and development greatly.Firstly,this paper introduces the whole design for the system,including system requirement,system architecture and table structures of database.Then,the web server based on Django is established,especially real-time communication,while the GIS platform based on OpenStreetmap data.Mapnik and mod_tile is established to solve the difficulty of obtaining map geographic data,which is completely open and free.After that,the functions of daily affairs management and vehicle tracking are realized on smart terminal,the function of daily affairs management contains user management,consignment management,scheduling management and notification push management,while the function of vehicle tracking contains GPS data acquisition,processing and display.Finally,this system is optimized from the point of view of continuous tracking,GPS data acquisition and map matching:the continuous tracking scheme based on Jpush is designed and implemented to solve the problem that background service being killed;the collection scheme based on GPS data processing is designed and implemented to decrease collection of abnormal points during transmission;the location optimization scheme based on map-matching is designed and implemented to verify the feasibility of using the GIS platform to realize the map-matching algorithm.At present,the Vehicle Tracking System for highway logistics is successfully developed on Android.The system can meet the user needs of real-time and convenience,also make the highway logistics transportation process more transparency and visualization.
