The FSAE Racing Program is a comprehensive design and manufacturing project that trains the participants to solve problems in order to develop professionals who are suitable for the needs of society and business.In recent years,FSAE racing projects have received more and more attention and participationn from colleges and universities.Some colleges lack experience in racing design and manufacturing,or they want to learn more advanced racing design concepts at home and abroad.However,reverse engineering technology can be used to obtain the three-dimensional data of body structure and space,redesigned according to design requirements,thereby improving design efficiency and reducing research and development costs,and obtaining more excellent racing works.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the application of reverse engineering technology in FSAE project.This subject is mainly aimed at the reverse engineering research of the FSAE racing driving space layout and pedal control device.Firstly,the suitable surface measurement technology is determined,and a three-dimensional measurement scheme is developed.The surface data of the brake pedal is obtained through the optical three-dimensional scanner,and the reverse engineering is carried out.The technology obtained its 3D solid model.Secondly,the reverse modeling of the frame was carried out according to the same technical means,and the frame was redesigned to reduce the weight of the frame and improve the performance of the car.Then the design and verification of the car's driving layout is carried out,and the design of the car body is improved;finally,using the finite element technology to analyze and verify the strength of the frame,using the rapid prototyping technology to complete the 3D printing model of the pedal device and the frame,verifying the rationality of the design.The specific research contents are as follows:1.Research and compare different three-dimensional measurement techniques,focusing on the principles and characteristics of three-coordinate measurement technology and optical three-dimensional measurement technology,and finally select optical three-dimensional measurement technology as the acquisition method of point cloud data,and develop a three-dimensional measurement scheme,and finally Obtaining point cloud data of the pedal device.2.Using Geomagic Wrap software to render the point cloud data of the brake pedal,filter out noise points,splicing multiple points of view clouds,data filling and encapsulation,etc.,and obtain the encapsulated point cloud data model,and then the surface model The Geomagic Design X software was introduced to reverse model the pedal device,finally the feature-based reverse engineering CAD model was obtained.3.Combined with the Rules of the Chinese University Students Formula Competition and Principle of ergonomics,the frame is redesigned to reduce the weight of the frame and help improve the performance of the car.Then the design of the driving control layout of the car and the introduction of the human body model verified the rationality of the driving control layout design.Finally,the original body design scheme was improved.4.Complete the pre-processing links such as material definition,unit type selection and grid division,and carry out finite element analysis on the frame strength under bending conditions.And verify that the frame strength meets the design requirements.Finally,the 3D printing model of the frame and pedal device was obtained by rapid prototyping technology,and the rationality of the design was also verified.
