Modeling and simulation study of the machine gun are done in this thesis.A brief introduction of the development situation of rotary barrels machine gun at home and abroad is presented;and the structural features and work principle of a certain type of rotary barrels machine gun being developed are introduced,and a detailed analysis of the main load situation during the shooting process of a certain type of rotary barrels machine gun is provided.The dynamic model of multi-rigid body of a certain type of rotary barrels machine gun is established by defining component attribute,motion constraint and load in the environment of multi-rigid body dynamics software ADAMS.The following simulation analysis on a certain type of rotary barrels machine gun is done according to actual work situation:a.muzzle disturbance during shooting of rotary barrels machine gun mounted on the platform of the same rigidity for different cyclic fire rates;b.with the same cyclic fire rate,the modes of the first 10 stages in different directions and with different rigidities were calculated separately,and the muzzle displacement is obtained.On this basis,dynamic muzzle response of a certain type of rotary barrels machine gun is calculated by mode superposition method;and the displacements of muzzle at the very moment when 10 rds continuously came out of the chamber is got,and the influence of muzzle response on firing precision is analyzed,Accordingly,effect of cyclic fire rate of rotary machine gun and rigidity of mounting platform on fire dispersion is analyzed,which helps us determine more desirable cyclic fire rate and mounting platform when developing rotary barrels machine gun.The above research is vital to reduce both time period and cost used to develop a certain type of rotary barrels machine gun,as well as improving the accuracy and scientificity of design.
