This paper analyzes the development of vegetarian diet in Chengdu and explores the development status of contemporary vegetarian food and beverage and the excellent interior design of vegetarian restaurants.It also conducts in-depth research on the vegetarian dining space design practice project in Chengdu Moonlight Basin,and the food culture,regional culture and humanities of Chengdu.In-depth understanding of the characteristics,familiar with its changing process,looking for its changing rules and specific analysis of the project’s geographical location,project surrounding environment and population positioning.Then,the actual cases of several types of vegetarian food space design were field researched,and their geographical location,spatial function,design techniques and countermeasures of design difficulties were analyzed.The advantages of each case design were extracted to provide follow-up design practice.Learn from and reference.Through the whole research and design process,the author draws inspiration from the analysis of Chengdu’s regional culture and humanistic characteristics,and combines the modern and traditional design techniques with the traditional Sichuan food culture and vegetarian culture to bring the vegetarian concept of health.Incorporating into the city’s closest center,the office building,forms a diverse modern “urban vegetarian restaurant”.Combine the concepts of “fast”,“slow” and “moving” and “quiet” to form a contrasting spatial model,and then integrate regional elements with it to carry out the interior design of vegetarian dining space.The purpose of the research is to use furnishings,interface processing,and space.New approaches such as layout break through the traditional design concept to create a quiet and elegant vegetarian dining environment.Through the research and exploration of this article,the author re-design combines the historical sense and the historical context organically,and gives modern design a new vitality to the traditional culture,organically integrating the spirit of the times and history and culture.The space is subtly and fully expressed.I hope to further promote the development of the catering industry and provide reference for subsequent development.
