Gear is an indispensable part in automobile,aircraft,machine tools and other mechanical industries,and its importance is self-evident.With the development of industrial technology,the requirement for gear is higher and higher.Traditional spur gears and helical gears have many problems,such as low transmission efficiency,easy wear,low meshing overlap coefficient and unstable transmission,which have been unable to meet the working requirements.It is urgent to find a new type of gear which can overcome the shortcomings of the above-mentioned gears.Spiral bevel gear is such a new type of gear.At present,the manufacturing technology of conventional spiral bevel gears worldwide is almost monopolized by Gleason Company of the United States,Oerlikon Company of Switzerland and Klingelnberg Company of Germany.Chinese users basically complete the manufacturing of conventional spiral bevel gears by purchasing foreign manufacturing systems,which makes our design and manufacture of spiral bevel gears possible.It is impossible to make a thorough study.However,the problem of unequal helical angle of spiral bevel gears on the tooth alignment can not achieve the ideal meshing due to the serious friction and wear,low transmission efficiency and unstable transmission.The logarithmic spiral bevel gear has the advantages of equal helical angle transmission:the helical angle of any point on the tooth alignment line is equal,and the meshing force of any point on the tooth elevation line changes to the minimum,which ensures the stability of the spiral bevel gear transmission,improves the contact state of the tooth surface,and reduces the vibration,impact and noise in the transmission process.At present,the research on spiral bevel gears is mainly focused on the post-processing and finishing of gears.It is expected that the defects in the design can be remedied through artificial and inefficient process improvement,and there is a lack of innovation and breakthrough in the pre-design.In this paper,the mathematical description of the basic profile curve and the tooth alignment curve of logarithmic spiral bevel gear and the characteristics of these curves are discussed through the study of the generation mode of logarithmic spiral bevel gear.By choosing reasonable design parameters,the tooth profile surface is constructed based on the tooth profile curve and the tooth profile curve,and the complete mathematical description of the tooth surface is obtained.With Pro/toolkit in Pro/ENGINEER as the secondary development tool,a set of three-dimensional parameterized precise modeling module of logarithmic spiral bevel gears with friendly interface and strong interaction is developed to meet the purpose of rapid design and improving the design quality of logarithmic spiral bevel gears by designers,greatly reducing the labor intensity of designers,effectively improving the design efficiency and quality of products,and rapidly shrinking.short design cycle.Finally,using ANSYS Workbench analysis software,the preliminary dynamic simulation analysis of logarithmic spiral bevel gear is carried out.
