As a new type of gearing, the double circular arc spiral bevel gearing has advantage of high load capacity, longer service life and manufactured easily etc. Therefore, more and more attention has been paid to its application and research in recent years.In this dissertation, firstly, based on the theory of cutting tooth about the gleason spiral bevel gears, the equation of meshing in the process of cutting tooth, the surface equation of generating gear as well as the general tooth surface equation of the double circular arc spiral bevel gear, using GB/T12759-1991 type of double circular arc gear as a basic gear profile, a research about three-dimension parameter solid modeling of the double circular arc spiral bevel gear has been done by used of Pro/Program software, and a method about three-dimension solid model building of the gearing was set up by means of interactive inputting parameter.Then, a three-dimensional solid model building system about double circular arc spiral bevel gear was exploitured by using of the Pro/Toolkit and VC++6.0 programmed environment. The system can build corresponding three-dimension model by inputting basic gear parameter, which can reduce a large amount of miscellaneous works in the gearing design.Finally, through the further research about data interface between Pro/E software and LOM rapid prototyping (RP) system, the solid model of double circular arc spiral bevel gearing established above Pro/E software was transformed into RP machine discriminating STL format, and the file was imported into RP machine system, which can bring out the processing of the double circular arc spiral bevel gear by used of rapid prototyping manufacturing technology.
