The ozone?O3?oxidation process has been increasingly used in drinking water treatment,but ozone oxidation of bromine-containing water will produce bromate?BrO3-?as a by-product of disinfection.In recent years,emerging oxidants such as potassium monopersulfate?PMS?and potassium ferrate have become research hotspots for advanced oxidation processes combined with ozone.In this study,ozone was used in combination with potassium ferrate,potassium persulfate?PDS?,and potassium monopersulfate to study the formation of bromate when the combined process oxidized bromine-containing water.The formation and control of bromate in ozone/potassium monopersulfate?O3/PMS?oxidation of bromine-containing water are further explored,and the control mechanism is briefly analyzed.O3/PMS oxidation of bromine-containing water is controlled by the amount of PMS dosage,water quality,plus H2O2 and other factors,and then study the O3/PMS system under different factors and different water quality conditions.At the same time,the removal of organic matter during the oxidation of bromine-containing source water by O3/PMS and the production of trihalomethane before and after chlorination were studied.The formation of bromate was not detected when potassium ferrate,potassium persulfate or potassium monopersulfate oxidized bromine-containing source water to distribute water.When used in combination with ozone,comparing the control effect of ozone/potassium ferrate?O3/Ferrate?,ozone/potassium persulfate?O3/PDS?,O3/PMS on bromine-containing source water oxidation,O3/PMS can More effectively control the generation of bromate in the source water of Quehua Water Plant,which can also play a more important role in the organic matter in the source water.Further research on O3/PMS found that O3/PMS oxidation of bromine-containing Quehua water source water distribution,when n?PMS?/n?O3?is less than 1.5:1,the inhibitory effect of PMS on the generation of bromate is increasing,and when n?PMS?/n?O3?is 1.5:1,the inhibition is greatest;when n?PMS?/n?O3?is greater than 1.5:1,PMS shows that the inhibition of bromate formation is weakened.When O3/PMS oxidizes bromine-containing water with different water quality,the effect of adding PMS on the formation of bromate is different.O3/PMS oxidation of bromine-containing pure water,bromine-containing black tiger spring water and bromine-containing slurry water spring reservoir water,O3 and PMS will promote the formation of bromate;O3/PMS oxidation of bromine-containing laboratory tap water distribution and Quehua water plant source water distribution,O3 and PMS combination will inhibit the formation of bromate.When hydrogen peroxide?H2O2?was added to O3/PMS oxidation,the addition of H2O2 played a better role in inhibiting the formation of bromate.When the addition ratio of n?PMS?/n?O3?/n?H2O2?reaches 0.32:1:0.5,the formation of bromate can be completely suppressed.When studying the removal effect of O3/PMS oxidation on organic matter,aniline is the target organic matter,and thermal activation has better removal effect on aniline and DOC than unactivated PMS;O3/PMS oxidation removal effect on aniline and DOC is better than that of O3 and PMS alone.Adding H2O2 does not have much effect on the oxidation of aniline in O3/PMS.Alone ozone oxidation source water,pure water distribution water will not generate trihalomethane before chlorination;activated or unactivated PMS oxidation source water,pure water distribution water can not detect a certain amount of trihalomethane formation before chlorination culture;O3/PMS combined with oxidized source water will generate trihalomethane before chlorination.The formation potential of trihalomethane after O3/PMS oxidation and chlorine cultivation is lower than that of raw water after chlorine cultivation.
