Recently, the excessive application of chemical pesticides in agricultural production in China still exists, which is closely related to the safety of producer, the quality of agricultural products, and the safety of ecological environment. In order to effectively solve the hidden dangers of the above safety problems,Chinese government has been vigorously implemented green control techniques(GCT)of diseases and insect pests. However,GCT in China is still in the pilot demonstration;its implementation and application still face several difficulties. This study based on the perspective of spatial dependence, this research explores the spatial impact of family farms‘ characteristic variables on the adoption behavior of GCT.The aim is to clarify ideas of improve the GCT promotion policy system, practice quality-oriented agriculture and green-oriented agriculture way,and promote the process of ?zero-growth action of pesticide usage? in China. This research used field research data of 366 family farms in Huang-huai-hai Plain, based on global Moran's I test, the Bayesian spatial Durbin probit model was developed,a spatial weight matrix was constructed, and the optimal model for estimating parameters was selected.Direct effects and spatial spillover effects of characteristic variables on family farms‘ adoption behavior of GCT were determined by using partial differential method.Main results were showed that: first,GCT adoption behaviors of adjacent family farms have spatial correlations, and their geographic distribution is spatially clustered.Second, when family farms are within a 2.0 km distance, their GCT adoption behaviors have strong spatial dependence.Third, education level and risk preference degree, fund status and number of laborers, cognition degree on GCT and the dangers of chemical pesticide use, strength of media publicity, know GCT adopters, and participation in technique training of family farms have significant positive effects on their GCT adoption.Forth,GCT adoption of family farms are mainly influenced by direct effects of their characteristic variables. However, the spatial spillover effects of neighbor family farms‘ characteristic variables, especially whether participation in technique training, number of laborers, and fund status, cannot be ignored.
